Mapping of the farm is a project I have been working on for a couple of years. Learning that the family farm where my mother grew up would be sold to a industrial gravel quarry company, triggered the idea for this project. I intend to make three stitched maps of the area, as well as gather images of the buildings and people that live on this land. The farm is another piece included in this series.

This documentation is intended to read as an archive of all aspects of the farm to tell the story of all that it has provided. Most recently I have been collaborating with a photographer to collect images of the changing land surrounding the farm as well as the quiet interior of the unoccupied farmhouse (note - these images are not shown below). This project is ongoing.

Research and snap shots taken of the farmland from the beginning of this project until today. Much of the project is still in the research stage, with finished textile and photographic art pieces coming about along the way.
